The name "Eight Insights" symbolises infinity and abundance in Chinese culture, while "Insights" reflects our commitment to providing valuable, in-depth knowledge on subjects of varied interests.

Eight Insights was founded by Ivan Theodoulou, a seasoned public relations professional with extensive experience across Asia. In 2021, he launched Eight PR, a boutique public relations consultancy in Hong Kong that merges creativity with a deep understanding of the local market to deliver impactful and tailored communication strategies.

Ivan first visited Guangzhou, China, in 1987, traveling by train from Hong Kong. Over the past 15 years, his trips to China have increased significantly, utilising various modes of transport, including train, high speed train, plane, ferry, and coach. In 2024, after successfully passing the China driving test, his travels accelerated further, and he has since made multiple self-drive holiday trips in Guangdong Province.

Currently, learning to speak Putonghua, Ivan has an extensive network of senior executives in Hong Kong and internationally.
